Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers. If yours is missing, ask us on Discord once it opens.

Is Sunsfall free to play?

Yes. Every game feature is free. We sell cosmetics, a Season Pass and the Command Bridge subscription, which adds cosmetics and conveniences such as extended statistics and a longer report archive. None of it affects combat, production or time.

Is it pay-to-win?

No. Our Fair Play Charter rules out selling anything that affects combat, production, build or flight times, fleet size or information. There is no premium currency, no speed-up and no resource for sale.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Sunsfall runs in any modern browser and can be installed as an app on your home screen, with push alerts for incoming attacks. No app store, no download.

How much time do I need?

About 15 to 30 minutes a day, spread over two or three short check-ins. The game is designed so you stay competitive without being online at night.

What happens while I sleep?

You choose a daily 7-hour Quiet Hours window. During it, nobody can attack or spy on your planets, and you can't attack either. Patrol keeps your fleet safe, and the Bunker protects part of your stock.

When does it launch?

When it's finished. There is no date yet and there are no pre-orders: we only ask for money for a finished game. Follow our Facebook page and you'll hear when it's ready.

What is the Founder Pack?

An optional pack for the first season, available from pre-registration once the game is finished: a permanent Founder title and profile frame, the season 1 Season Pass and a reserved commander name. It is purely cosmetic and planned at €19.99 including VAT. It can't be bought yet.

How is Sunsfall different from classic browser space games?

The core is familiar: mines, research, fleets, raids, espionage and alliances on a coordinate map. The difference: 8-week seasons instead of endless universes, Quiet Hours instead of night watches, a strict no-pay-to-win promise, and a smaller, cleaner rule set.

What happens at the end of a season?

Vesper collapses. The alliance with the most season points wins and enters the Hall of Fame. You keep titles, cosmetics and stats; everything else resets, and the next season starts after a one-week break.

Are there bots?

Yes, and they're always labelled. NPC factions keep quiet sectors alive and give you targets early on. They never appear on the player leaderboard and never pretend to be human.

Which languages are supported?

English, German and Hungarian at launch, with Polish planned. Everyone plays in one shared universe; your language is a setting in your account.
